COROPLAST®

Coroplast® is a type of corrugated plastic, generated by fusing two layers of corrugated plastic. One layer is in a wave pattern and the other layer is flat. The two layers are adhered together forming a stronger sheet of plastic.

Coroplast signs are widely used in indoor marketing. As these are light in weight and appreciated for cost effective visual marketing. Signs made with coroplast material are more tougher and solid than corrugated fiberboard and lighter than solid extruded plastic.

Corrugated plastic goes by a number of names including corriboard, Polyflute, FlutePlast, Proplex, Correx, Twinplast, Corriflute, Corflute, etc. Above all, Coroplast is the most common brand name for corrugated plastic sheets.

It is made from polypropylene, which is a non-biodegradable material. It’s still recyclable. Polypropylene is an extremely sturdy thermoplastic polymer with a neutral pH that allows it to withstand all kinds of external temperature, weather, and usage conditions for long periods of time with minimal wear and tear.

Physical Features

Coroplast consists of a zig-zagged layer of plastic sandwiched between two smooth layers of plastic sheeting – also known as twin-wall plastic sheeting. Their thickness range from 2mm to 25mm. Coroplast sheets are electrostatically double treated by “Corona Discharge” on both sides to allow specifically formulated inks and adhesives to adhereThe raw material which is used in it are Polypropylene/Polyethylene copolymers. Coroplast comes in custom colors and many sizes, including standard colors: like White, Natural, Light Blue, Medium Blue, Dark Blue, Black, Brown and Yellow. It also comes in premium colors, like Red, Orange, Green, Silver, Ivory and Purple.
